SALTEX Preview 2021

We're looking forward to seeing you at SALTEX. Here's what we have in store for you.

I'm really looking forward to introducing you to some of our new products and discussing all the ideas you have for your grounds maintenance challenges.  Lockdown has been a productive period for us. We have overhauled our website, our catalogues, our product offering, our background systems and our stock holdings.  SALTEX on November 3rd and 4th, is a great opportunity to share some of this with you.

Here's a look at what's on the stand;

The Hycut - the true Hybrid Mower.

Quite simply put, this machine is incredible.

The blades and tracks are completely powered by battery - giving you instant, precise control and computer assisted mowing.

One benefit of this is the ability for the machine to automatically slow the tracks if it senses a drop in blade tip speed and to slowly ramp up the speed of the blades when engaging them for the first time. This significantly improves cutting quality, saves lots of fuel and protects the belts.

The engine never needs to work hard, because it only needs to do enough to keep the batteries charged via a generator.

Lehner Spreaders - Less power, more grit!

We will be introducing you to our new line up of winter maintenance equipment from Lehner.

The Polaro range features innovative motor designs that require only 30% of the power needed by other spreaders on the market.

This makes them ideal for running on electric vehicles, and utility vehicles with smaller alternators - as well as pickup trucks.

The Polaro range also use computer assisted operations to slowly ramp up the motor speed, which reduces wear on components. Sensing and compensating for blockages - to keep you running. This is a really clever little spreader.

Our very own light weight snow plough for 4x4's

The Faulkner Brothers Snow plough for 4x4's is made in the UK out of Aluminium, for light weight construction.

This gives several advantages - the plough keeps well below the front axle limit of UK model pickups. This not only helps keep you on the straight and narrow, it makes it much more manageable for the truck. Saving on lots of fuel, wear and tear.

The aluminium design also allows simple replacement of parts, neatly slid into place along the profiles, rather than welded on.

Our aluminium blade is highly corrosion resistant and is anodized for much greater protection than powder coating - reducing stone chips and allowing the snow to roll nicely off the blade for years to come. We have the first preview of this equipment at the show.

Thermal Weed Management Equipment

Perhaps the hottest topic on everyone's minds this year is how to reduce our reliance on glyphosate and other plant protection products.

At Kersten we have been focusing on Integrated weed management and weed prevention.

Heat is one of the tools in our arsenal, allowing us to quickly treat annual weeds and un-germinated seeds.

The ranges from Ripagreen and Hoaf use highly efficient Hot Air systems, with minimal use of fuel.

The Ripagreen system pictured above uses 94% air to just 6% gas - making it very economical and environmentally friendly to run compared with other methods. The accelerated hot air also makes it very quick to use.

We hope you are anticipating the show with as much excitement as we are.

See you there on Stand G075.
